RELIEF WORK ............ FEELING ONE WITH……….

October 16th 2018 ……It was a wonderful day to see the kids coming with some little things in hand to contribute themselves to support the Migrants in Nekemte. They brought money, clothes, etc. The school feel more proud of them because the initiative was from the students; the GRADE 12 STUDENTS instructed the younger ones; together with Teachers and School Management arranged the day to give our little help to the migrants in Nekemte.

Totally more than one hundred thousand people displaced from the area. About seventy six thousand of them camped in Nekemte in different camps. The reason for their displacement is the conflict between Benishangul Gumuz ethnic group and other ethnic groups mainly Oromo people. The reason for the conflict is not clearly Known. Most of the people displaced are farmers.There are a lot of children, women, and elderly people which made the condition more pathetic.
