Catholic Kidane Mehiret School, Nekemte is one of the schools in the East Wollega Zone of Oromia Regional state located in the Dergue sub-city of Nekemte town, about 500m away the right side of the road that goes from the center of the town to the Nekemte referral hospital. It was established in 1965 E.C ( 1972/73 G.C) with two teachers and one foreign director at kindergarten level. At the time the numbers of students were only thirty five (35).
